Adam Chambers returns for the Saddlers on Saturday after a three game suspension and shined in the 3-1 reserves win against Stoke last night.

Chambers has frustratingly sat on the sidelines after his heroics against Leyton Orient were cancelled out by his straight red against Middlesbrough the following Tuesday in the Carling Cup defeat.

The 30 year old played the full 90 minutes and Chris Nicholl told the Express and Star: ‘He looks much more ready than he did at the start, so we`re delighted with that. He`ll be ready for the manager for Saturday – that`s what they`re all after.’

A Ryan Jarvis penalty and 17 year old Jamie Tank struck after Karmi Rossi scored first for Stoke and secured them 3 points in Central League Central Division.

Saddlers return to a reserve league after Chris Hutchings pulled them out of competitive league football last season.

‘It will really benefit us and gives players the opportunity to stake their claims for a place in the first-team.’ Nicholl added to the Official Site.

Walsall: ‘ Grof, Beevers, Haynes, Smith, Rank, Chambers, Nicholls (Deards), Dobson, Bowerman (Benning), Jarvis (Butlin), Paterson. Subs not used: Cresswell, Maher.
