Chippenham pre season friendly

As part of the deaal we had with Chippenham which brought James Constable to Bescot, a pre season friendly was suppose to be part of the deal, yet it was not included in the list of games annouced earlier in the week.
So it appears that no pre season game will take place but the saddlers will be sending a team at a mutually agreeable date to be arranged, the reason been the differing start dates from the different leagues. However no official confirmation has let to released.

However another site (UTS) has the following quote which is attributed to sources close to Chippenham Town

‘Following discussions with the new Walsall manager I can confirm that the pre-season friendly, which formed part of the James Constable transfer deal, will indeed take place ‘early’ in the new season. This is because Walsall start their league programme two weeks ahead of the Bluebirds and it was not possible to arrange a date during the pre season period. They have confirmed that they will be bringing their full first team squad to Chippenham on a date convenient to both sides once both clubs respective fixtures are known.’

Thank you warsaw pact, who found the quote and published on UTS.
