Club Will Always Have A Special Place In His Heart

|

Former Walsall striker Amadou Bakayoko has tonight taken to Twitter to thank Walsall Football Club and the supporters for their support during his time at the club.

Bakayoko moved to Coventry City this evening to end a six year stint with Walsall in a move which earns the Saddlers around £200,000.

Bakayoko scored eighteen goals in one hundred and six appearances for the Saddlers including a hat-trick against Grimsby Town, winning EFL Trophy Golden Boot and also winning the clubs Young Player Of The Year award.

Baka scored his first league goal against Shrewsbury Town in 2016 – but was later sent off.

You can read the full statement from the Sierra Leonean below where Baka states the club will always have a place in his heart.

Baka leaves the club with the best wishes from us all at Vital Walsall. The move allows us to strengthen the squad and also enables Bakayoko to hopefully regain his confidence.
