Walsall were given some positive news this morning with the news that forward Jordan Cook’s inital scan showed no ligament rupture, however the Saddlers should get the full diagnosis later today.
Cook was stretchered off during Walsall’s friendly defeat against Torquay and with his previous ligament injuries, which kept him out for most of last season, it was first thought that we would be without the former Sunderland man for quite some time.
The news of no ligament rupture and possible medial issue will mean more of a 4-6 week recovery time rather than the possible 4-6 months had it been ruptured.
