Walsall boss Dean Smith has today urged everyone to remain tight lipped over the Wembley talk but admitted everyone is now starting to believe its possible.

Following victories over Rochdale and Sheffield United, The Saddlers are just two rounds from an historic first ever visit to the national stadium.

Smith told Expressandstar.com “It`s whet the appetite of the supporters, the players and the whole club,” he said.

“It is there for us. We have just got to make sure our performance levels are right.”

“It is tough to get there but we are going to try and get there. Football is about momentum and getting a winning feeling. We have won three out of the last four and want that to continue. I`m not fed up about constantly reminded the club has never got to Wembley but it`s probably disconcerting we haven`t been there, there are some good teams left in that draw.”

Walsall will face either Tranmere, Doncaster/Notts County or Preston/Oldham in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Area Semi Finals – the draw will be made live on SoccerAM this Saturday.
