Walsall manager DD has praised his skipper Michael Dobson, backing him to be an ‘unsung hero’ back in League One, according to the Express and Star.
DD believes Dobbo will once again lead by example in the forthcoming campaign, after becoming only the second Saddlers captain to lift the League Two title in 47 years.
The gaffer also had a cheeky message for ex-Walsall star Dean Keates, who moved to Peterborough, after being asked if Dobson would be the same without the Saddlers top scorer last season.
DD told the Express and Star: ‘I would suggest Dean Keates has more of a difficult job being without Michael Dobson than the other way round.’
Nice response!
