Don’t Let One Irrelevant Game Stop The Feel Good Factor

|

Yes we lost last night but it was the Carabao Cup. Is anyone bothered? Not really.

Last night was all about giving minutes to those that impressed in pre-season without affecting our league start.

Whilst the three that came in (Jules, Cockerill-Mollett and Bates) didn’t offer much with the former two being at fault for a couple of goals, there were a lot of positives to take into a much more important game at Crewe.

I thought Sinclair and Kinsella continue to compliment each other really well and Norman did well going forward – he needs taking off corner kicks though. Adebayo looked lively again and his turn of pace had the Crawley defence on their backsides…I just wish he would have the confidence to shoot more!

Hardy proved for the second game running that he is exactly what we need in midfield and Lavery showed glimpses that when fit he could be that missing link up front.

A lot of over reaction on all forms of Social Media and as for the booing at half time? Give your heads a wobble. This team needs your patience.

It isn’t going to click straight away but in the games where it has mattered we have shown glimpses of what we can achieve.

Onto Crewe we go. Another three points in the league and we will forget about last night.
