On the back of The FA’s announcement yesterday that we will host England U21’s at The Banks’s Stadium in Feburary, The FA have today confirmed that Walsall has been picked as hosts for England U17’s match with Portugal on Saturday 23rd March.
John Peacock’s squad face opposition from Portugal, Russia and Slovenia over three games, with only the nation who finishes top of the group progressing to the Finals.
And with the squad based at St. George’s Park over the course of the five days, they will play their games at Burton Albion’s Pirelli Stadium and Walsall’s Banks’s Stadium.
The first match will be in Walsall against Portugal on Saturday 23 March, before heading back to Burton to face Russia in their second fixture two days later.
