Well it’s the day we’ve been waiting for. Andreas Makris finally got off the mark for the Saddlers as Walsall drew 1-1 in an entertaining clash with Oxford United.
Chris Maguire’s deflected strike cancelled out Makris’ volley and ensured that both sides remain firmly locked in mid-table. Michael Appleton’s side pushed hard for the winner in the second half but couldn’t find a way past Neil Etheridge.
