Saddlers number one Clayton Ince has announced he will delay his decision to sign a new deal.

The Trinidad and Tobago international’s current contract expires at the end of this season.

The 36-year-old shot-stopper did state that he will sit down with Hutch after the Oldham game to discuss his future.

Ince told the Express and Star: ‘I’m concentrating on playing at the moment. My management and the Walsall management have to discuss it and it’s up to them (Walsall) what they do.

‘My performances are vital and that’s what I will concentrate on. If I perform well, those around the table will decide my future.’

Many fans have started to speculate on Ince’s future at WS1 after similar situations have led to other past key players departing, with Dean Keates leaving for Peterborough being a prime example.
