This morning we received a major boost with the news that the majority of our injured stars will be available for selection soon – with one returning Saturday.
James Chambers has overcome his injury and will be available for Saturday’s game against Doncaster along with leading scorer Tom Bradshaw.
Ben Purkiss played the first half for our reserves in their 2-1 defeat against Port Vale yesterday and is aiming to be fully fit for the Bristol City game. Likewise Jordan Cook who was injured during our pre-season game against Torquay, is aiming to be fit for Bristol City.
Dean Smith will be close to having a full squad available for the first time this season and results will now be judged, rather than injuries being used as an excuse for our poor start.
This will leave only Sam Mantom on the treatment table.
