Walsall were dealt a massive blow in our battle for survival following the news that midfielder and vice captain, Joe Edwards is ruled out for the rest of the season with an ACL injury.
Edwards suffered the injury during our defeat against Blackburn at the weekend and is set to see a specialist on Monday to start rehabilitation on the injury.
It is expected that Edwards will not be ready to start next season either and with his contract expiring this summer it remains to be seen whether he will stay with the Saddlers.
Edwards is a fans Favourite and has been one of the few positives from this season
It goes without saying but we wish Joe a quick and speedy recovery.
