Perhaps not the most influential player that will be on the pitch on Saturday. Mr Keigan Parker will be the one to watch for his antics and diving performances, as seen at Bloomfield park last season and at Bescot this.

Some Blackpool fans have said that Keigan and his striker partner John Murphy have been disinterested in recent games and the lack of goals have sucked the Seasiders closer to relegation. However for Walsall fans he always seems to put on a performance which causes problems for our defence and places how can I say it ‘uncertainity in the ref’s mind’

Keigan Parker joined Blackpool from St Johnstone on the 25th June 2004 following 23 league goals in 80 first team appearances. He has hit nine goals this season, whilst collecting eight yellow cards (including one at Bescot)and a red card against Gillingham in October. Says it all really.Recent form mirrors the club really with goals hard to come by for Keigan, failing to hit the net in his last seven starts.

The 5ft 7 inch tall striker will be hoping to put one over Anthony Gerrard and the Saddlers on Saturday. Since the 24 year old striker was well and truely in Anthony’s back pocket at the Bescot. Much to the amusement of the Floors-2-Go stand was his reaction to Anthony treading all over his toes at a set play.

But Keigan will be remembered more for his ‘gamemanship’ last season which lead to a penalty and an angry reaction from the Walsall players, especially Joe Murphy who was sent off in the 2-1 defeat.
