Junior Mawete Leaves Walsall

Junior Mawete who burst on the international scene with rave reviews with Benfica has left Walsall at the end of his short contract. Despite been given numerous chances with the reserves he failed to push on into the first team squad. Our younger players such as Alex Nicholls and Troy Deeney passing him in the pecking order. It is hoped that this will free up more wages to strenghten in necessary areas.

As Junior tries to make a name for himself in the Belgian league we wish him well.
