Former Saddlers star Junior is rumoured to have received an offer to train with the squad ahead of pre-season preparations.

The rumour has appeared on the internet, as Hutch continues to be linked with players all over the shop.

Junior, who’s real name is Jose Junior, played 36 games for Walsall under Colin Lee in 2002/03, socring 15 goals and quickly formed a formidable partnership with Jorge Leitao.

He then upset Saddlers fans by moving to Derby, where he became known as ‘Judas’ and had an unsuccessful spell, before moving on-loan to Rotherham.

Junior failed to make a mark at Millmoor and was released by Derby, so he was snapped up by Watford in 2005.

Furthermore failing to make another impact, he moved abroad and joined Danish side Odense, where he got his career back on track and secured a move to Swedish club Malmo FF in 2007.

He went on to join FC Copenhagen, but then out for Danish side FC Nordsjælland, whom he scored five goals in seven games at the backend of last season.

However, he caused yet another stir by showing his disgust at being named as a substitute in the final game of last season, which prompted the manager to declare he had played his last game for the club.

Therefore, Junior now finds himself without a club and is set to be being monitored by the Saddlers once again.
