Leeds have made a bid said to be in excess of £250,000 for left back and left midfielder Daniel Fox. However the club have said thanks but no thanks to the offer as Denis Wise searches for a left back.

We will have to wait and see if the mighty Leeds are now shopping at League one level and return with an improved offer. It is also thought that the promising youngster is also attracting the attention of clubs in the championship, and it seems that Daniel Fox is the player which will be attracting most attention this January especially as he has not finalised the details of the new contract offer which is on the table.

Fox who started the season as a left midfielder is out of contract in the summer but could not leave for free due to his age, although a fee might have to be set by a tribunial. So there could be pressure on Walsall to sell if he fails to put pen to paper especially as we have a ready made replacement albeit on the treatment table in Paul Boertien. If we were to sell the fans would hope some if not all the money would be used to secure Michael Ricketts and Peter Sweeney as full time Saddlers.
