Along with some of the other faithful supporters who attended the Gillingham match today I recieved a letter of Walsall director Nigel Bond.

A nice touch and good pr, this is what it said. Many thanks for your support at Gillingham last saturday.

Already relegated and desperately disappointed, to rub salt in the wounds Gillingham increased the price of admission to Walsall supporters. The last thing we all needed was a 320 mile round trip, but we were there.

It was good to see us win but 3 points fooled no one. The 1st team is undergoing a major overhaul. The new manager is installed and we are bringing in 4 or 5 players with experience and a proven track record. 2 quality stikers are currently being pursued. They is only one objective Promotion at the first attempt and I believe we will do it.

Before joining the board 6 months ago, I served my apprenticeship on the terraces. When we meet I’m sure you will recognize me and my son from all the best places. Brentford on open terracing on January 2nd, the temporary stand at MK Dons or paddling to the urinals at Luton to name but a few.

Having stood on the terraces, invested in the club and been elected to the board, I would like to help build a lasting relationship between all the supporters of our club, whatever their position.

It would see major surgery to the is restricted to 4 or 5 players.

Any one any thoughts on the two quality strikers we are after.

There was no need for the club to communicate in this way, I sense that the club is finally trying to build bridges following two years of mis management.
