The Saddlers looked certain to leave Brisbane road empty handed, until Olly Lancashire popped up with virtually the last touch of the game to rescue a point.

Walsall started the game as the better team having a good share of possession and looked to press home the form that they have shown recently.

That was until a defensive mix-up saw Lancashire and Grof clash leaving Dean Cox to convert his eighth goal of the season for the O’s.

Just about five minutes later the smile was proverbially wiped from Orient fans faces as Cuvelier went down under a challenge from Taiwo, which the ref adjudged to have been to two-footed which consequently earned the Orient man a straight red card.

Coming into the second half the game didnt quite turn into the display of attacking prowess for Walsall that it probably should have done, with service scarcely troubling Orient’s back line.

Alex Nicholls was brought on to replace Will Grigg and shortly later Bowerman replaced Peterlin as Dean Smitch tried to break down the tough Orient defence.

David Grof did well to stop a Kevin Lisbie effort in one of Orients few forays into the Saddlers half.

Even though the Saddlers spent most of the second half camped in the O’s half it almost seemed that the Saddlers could play all night and still not grab the equaliser, until heavily into the four minutes of stoppage time a Richard Taundry drive was clawed away for a corner by Marek Stech.

The resulting Richard Taundry corner saw Olly Lancashire rise above the crowd to nod in the much needed last gasp equaliser to send the travelling support into raptures.

A much needed point, one which some will say was lucky, but luck rarely graces the Walsall team so when it does I for one will grab it with both hands.
