More signings to come?

After the capture of Clayton McDonald this week, there is rumoured to be more movement in the transfer market for the Saddlers in the coming weeks.

The turn of the new year sees the reopening of the transfer market, with the Saddlers looking to bolster the squad for the final push towards the top six.

The strongest name to be linked is Dean Keates, who we all know very very well. He started his career with the Saddlers back in the mid-90s before being released by Colin Lee in 2002.

Deano returned in 2006 to help the Saddlers in the League Two title, before a contract dispute saw him move to an ambitious Peterborough.

However, opportunities have been limited for the 31-year-old at London Road and he has had his contract terminated by mutual consent. It is thought that if there was a club likely to sign him, it would be Walsall.
