Off to the Valley….of London?

Last time the Saddlers visited the Valley, Jorge Leitao and Darren Byfield gave us a 2-1 win to knock out the then Premiership side in the FA Cup. How time have changed!

Hutch’s red army travel to the capital for this afternoon’s clash (KO 3pm) with a near enough fully fit squad, after Dwayne Mattis served his one-match suspension.

Unfortunately for us, Charlton, a fallen giant if you will (especially in comparison to the teams in L1), have a former Saddlers loanee that so far is scoring goals galore. Does anyone recall Deon Burton?

Never seemed to have an impact when he wore the red and white strip under Colin Lee, but since then he has made impacts with clubs like Rotherham, Sheffield Wednesday and now Charlton.

So we better beware! However, we will be looking to show what we can do and be Kings of the Valley.
