We take a look at a few possible targets Michael Flynn may turn to this summer as he looks to build a side capable of challenging at the right end of the table.

RYAN HAYNES

The left wing back is out of contract this summer and was one of Flynns first signings as Newport boss, joining them on a two year deal from Shrewsbury in 2019. He has gone onto make 106 appearances. With us snatching Labadie off them last season there’s no reason we couldn’t tempt Haynes with a better contract.

TOM OWEN-EVANS

Midfielder Owen-Evans was given his breakthrough at Newport by Flynn during their great escape and played over thirty times for the Welsh side before moving to Falkirk. However he moved to Hereford and has been instrumental in their rise up the leagues, including scoring in the FA Trophy Final . This season he has scored thirteen goals in thirty six appearances for the Bulls. Owen-Evans is described as a midfielder that likes to get forward and attack.

RYAN INNISS

The towering centre back seems to be leaving The Valley this summer after just twenty eight appearances in two seasons. Inniss was an integral part of Michael Flynns Newport side in his first full season however he is injury prone and we have enough injuries already going into next season.

MATT DOLAN

We have already been linked with a move for Newport captain Matt Dolan however with the defender still under contract it remains whether to be seen whether we can prize him away. He has made over one hundred and sixty appearances for the Exiles scoring thirteen goals.
