Tonight we welcome Oldham Athletic to the Banks’s Stadium. KO 7.45pm.

The sacking of Chris Hutchings heralded a change in attitude towards the Saddlers and their plight in league one. A new sense of optimism swept around the Banks’s stadium as Hutching’s exit would give Walsall a renewed chance of success.

Now temporary boss Dean Smith has predicted a revival and that they are on the brink of improving their situation. Smith has been in charge for 4 games with a record of two draws and two losses. “You get what you deserve in life and if we keep on putting in the performances with that work ethic we`ll go on a run, definitely.” Smith told the Express and Star. Saddler fans wait patiently as to whether that promise of a turnaround will come to reality tonight.

Saddlers go into the game tonight knowing that a win would lift the heavy gloominess currently lying around the Banks’s Stadium, putting them in a better position to move forward. However, there are no guarantees in football as Walsall fans and players and fans know all too well.

Team:The Saddlers are expected the name an unchanged team for the visit of the Lactics.

Score: If the Saddlers can keep their momentum for the full 90 minutes, they will hopefully reap their rewards. Walsall 2-1 Oldham Athletic. Richards and Macken to score.

Let’s hope Walsall can pull it out the bag. Come On the Saddlers!

P.S The club announced today that the repair to the scoreboard is in hand after the Fans Focus meeting last week. The (score)board has been broken for a some weeks now, so I don’t know why has it taken the meeting to prompt a repair. Come on Walsall, if you can’t organise a faulty scoreboard in a timely manner, what can you do?!

What do you think to the current predicament? Let us know in the forum!
