The first fixture for the 2017/18 pre-season programme has been announced, and the Saddlers will face Championship side Aston Villa.
Steve Bruce’s side will probably still be in the Championship for next season and his side will be looking to lay the foundations for a successful 2017/18.
Jon Whitney meanwhile will be hoping for a more settled summer than the previous one, which saw the majority of the playing squad leave for pastures new.
The fixture will take place at the Banks’s Stadium on Tuesday 18 July 2017, kick off at 7:45pm.
