> Is your season going as well as you expected so far?
Not at all. After such a great performance last season we all had high hopes and then it all went a bit wrong with management Keith Hill and David Flitcroft leaving with a number of our players and most the back room staff too. We also lost the likes of Craig Dawson and Chris O’Grady. We’ve struggled a lot this season, we’re just not good enough and we lost so much compared to last season. I think if John Coleman had come in earlier it may have been a different story but unfortunately I think it’s too late and now it’s all about planning for next season.
> Highlights of the season so far?
One of the main highlights has to be doing the double over Bury surely?! Not only did we take 6 points off them but we battered them too 😀 even if we go down at least we’ll have that! How tinpot do we sound?! Ha! There have also been some good points along the way against bigger clubs like Charlton, Sheffield Wednesday and Huddersfield.
> Who are your key players in your opinion?
In all honesty, as it stands we dont really have many key players! Of course there’s captain fantastic Gary Jones who leads midfield and fellow midfielder Jason Kennedy has had a good season minus a few hiccups. Others to keep an eye on are Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro and Andrew Tutte. At the back, loanee Kevin Long is also a great prospect.
> Will you be attending the game?
I certainly will!
> Performance and score predictions?
I’m expecting a defeat for Rochdale unfortunately. It’s starting to feel like the players are deflated, I hope we go out fighting, but I’m not convinced and we’re desperately struggling for goals. I’m saying Rochdale 0 – 2 Walsall.
