Bristol Rovers keeper Steve Philips has gained the league two golden glove award with, 28 clean sheets piping our own keeper and the Hartlepool stopper to the prize. So while it is bad news for Clayton it can’t take away his sterling efforts this year, and of course he has a championship medal as compensation.

Other Golden glove awards went to Wolves keeper Matt Murray, and former Walsall keeper Joe Murphy who kept 24 clean sheets for Scunthorpe….evidently kept off the pies this season!!!

The golden boot awards went to Jamie Cureton at Colchester, Billy Sharp at Scunthorpe and Izale Mcleod at the Dons, Izale won despite a three way tie, due to Izale scoring his goals in eight fewer games.
