The closest port of call is the ‘Early Doors’ pub next to the ground is popular with both home and away supporters, However it can get rather crowded……even though it is mansfield!!! It does good food and has an outside seating area, although the gale force winds this weekend may put off all but the hardest outside drinker.
I have been recommended to try ‘The Talbot’ on the A60 near to the Sainsburys Supermarket. However I have not visited it (yet) so have to bow to there superior knowledge.
The Sir John Cockle pub is on the A38 going into Mansfield from the M1 and again serves good food. This might be worth a visit if you want to stop off before the game or on the way back.
The Lord Byron pub on Quarry Lane is also popular with both home and away fans’.
Whilst some internet sites advise that away fans should avoid the Victoria and Red Lion Pubs.
If you are looking for food, there is a KFC on Nottingham Road, or a MacDonalds on Park Lane Road. Otherwise there is a chip shop and a chinese takeaway just down from the Famous Talbot on the same side of the road. The supermarket is about 100 yards further down towards the ground on the left which does its usual sandwiches and a has a small cafe.
