Walsall boss Dean Smith today admitted his side should have more points from the last three games but was happy to finally get a win against Chesterfield.

Smith told expressandstar.com ‘It’s nice to come in and say we deserved to win because, too many times, I have said that and we haven’t had the points. We should have had seven points from the last three games.’

Smith also praised Tom Bradshaw’s influence following his 6th goal in just 10 games after returning from injury ‘Tom has an awful lot of energy and kept their two centre-backs busy. They never had two minutes peace. He took his goal really well, lifting it over the goalkeeper’

Walsall now have a mid week break and can now look forward to gaining their first win on our travels this season as we travel to high flying Notts County on Saturday.
