Smith Set To Take Over Brentford?

The Telegraph are reporting that Walsall boss Dean Smith could take over the Brentford job ‘within days’ after approaching the Saddlers to speak to Ginger Mourinho.

Current Brentford caretaker boss Lee Carsley had already distanced himself from the job permanently and it was expected they were putting plans in place to appoint a new boss in the summer but it seems that Smith could be the new Bee’s boss before the end of the week.

I would be very surprised to see Smith leave the club whilst he’s still trying to complete the blue print he put in place but with the offer of Championship football, a bigger wage budget and a chance of Premiership football, would he really turn it down?
