CEO Stefan Gamble has today vowed to build the broken bridges between fans and the executive board.

The Saddler faithful have criticised the top dogs for being out of touch with the team, instead focussing their priorities on commercial activities away from the playing field as the team struggle in League One.

Gamble told the Express and Star: ‘”We`ve had a difficult time over the last couple of months and everyone has been working hard behind the scenes – but sometimes we haven`t spoken about it enough.’

Gamble has vowed today to listen more to fans, as official communication between them and newly formed supporters organisation ‘Unity’ launched this week.

He continued: ‘Having secured a commitment to ongoing dialogue via bi-monthly meetings, Unity is also pleased to announce the reinstatement of ‘Fans Focus` meetings at the Banks`s Stadium, with dates to be announced soon.”

At least Gamble has come out of the woodwork and pledged to help the frosty reception between the management and fans, time will tell how much these promises come into fruition and, as always, the proof of the pudding is in the results.
