Huddersfield visit Walsall and the mood is so much better than it was at the end of the last home match. Two away wins have seen to that. However can we get our first home win that is that is the question, Huddersfield consider themselves as one of the ‘big boys’ and it is hard to argue they will be a stern test as they arrive on the back of a home win against Yeovil and home draw against Forest.

Vital Quotes:

The talk from the MacAlpine is of Danny Cadamarteri, who had been booked for committing a foul early on in the game, was dismissed for a second yellow card after jumping over the barrier to celebrate with the home fans following his 67th minute goal.

Terriers manager Ritchie said: ‘That decision cost us the chance of getting all three points.

‘I felt that with 11 men we’d have gone on to win the game. It’s a shame that players can’t celebrate scoring a goal with their home supporters. If that is the law, then the law is an ass.’ It will be interesting to see if the FA agree with him.

Whilst the mood is upbeat at the Banks’s with top scorer Danny Fox calling for focus, as we seek that first home win.

Walsall Team News:

Of course the long term injury victims are still out and they will be joined on the side lines by Darren Wrack who injured his hamstring last tuesday, and of course the striker with the spat out dummy Mr Butler.
With us short of options Rhys Weston will probably take Darrens full back spot, with Richard Taudry in contention for the bench. We might return to a 4-4-2 at home which would see Troy Deeney start in place of midfielder Mark Bradley, which will be tough luck on the youngster who scored on his first start. Ian Roper has recovered from his virus but may well have to settle for a place on the bench.

Player to watch: Dwayne Mattis

Playing against the team where he started his career before been rejected after 79 appearances, Saddlers fans will get there first look at the midfielder and hope he can repeat the performances which have recieved glowing reports in his last two away matches….he might just have a point to prove.

Huddersfield Team News:

There big miss will be Danny Cadamarteri who serves a one match ban after two MOM performances. Town also have there long term absences like ourselves and will have an academy keeper on the bench.
Whilst they will have to change the line up in any case they are also waiting on late tests on Michael Collins and Chris Brandon who have missed training after knocks on tuesday. Having said that both are expected to make it.
Up front they still have Andy Booth and Luke Beckett….enough said

Player to watch: Ronnie Wallwork

The on loan Albion man is way too good for this level and will give our midfield a tough run for there money.

Match Facts & Stats

Not too many meetings considering that both clubs have been around a while, However they do seem to go with home advantage so lets hope that continues. Lets not forget our last meeting at Walsall when messers Booth et al won to put the final nail in our relegation coffin….a score to settle perhaps

Match Prediction:

It has to happen sometime….why not tomorrow….3-1
