Walsall leading goalscorer Tom Bradshaw said the two goals he scored on Saturday were up there with the best he’s scored and admitted he was relieved to have ended his four matches without a goal.

Bradshaw made it seven goals in ten games (league and cup) but had endured four games without a goal.

Bradshaw told Express and Star ‘They have to be up there,” he said. “My first goal on my debut for Shrewsbury, that`s up there, but in terms of finishing I think those are the best two finishes I`ve done in my career.

“Most importantly, they won us the game and ensured I didn`t go five games without a goal.

“I wouldn`t say it plays on your mind but I`ve got quite high standards and if I go a couple of games without a goal I get on at myself.

“So does my dad and my uncle, they won`t let me forget it.

“So around 80 minutes I was thinking five games without a goal is not great. Luckily I managed to get two.”
