Right, a story that does not refer to any matches being called off, but what the Saddlers might be planning to do in the transfer market.

We at Vital Walsall reported that Deano Keates was due to make an return to the Saddlers. Word has it that Deano will sign an 18-month deal int he coming weeks to complete his retun to the Banks’s, since his controversial exit in 2007. However, Hutch faces competition from League Two side Torquay United, but we remain firm favourites to claim his signature.

Also, it has become apparent that Hutch wants to improve the midfield, with another player being linked. Morecambe’s left-sided midfielder Michael Twiss is allegedly close to signing for the Saddlers, although the signing of the former Manchester United would be seen as pointless. We already have Matty Richards, and if we resign Deano, why do we need another player? So I would discount this rumour.

And finally, there is talk that Hutch is planning on making two loan signings before the end of the window, with players from Wolves and Coventry set to be on the mind of the gaffer in a bid to strengthen the squad.
