Striker Liam Dickinson and Midfielder Martin Devaney will return to Barnsley after their loans end this weekend.

Martin Devaney has struggled with a hamstring injury that ended his Saddler experience in the 1-1 draw with Fleetwood Town in the FA Cup in November. It is a shame to lose him as he was a key member of the team throughout his time with the Saddlers

Liam Dickinson came on loan for the Peterborough defeat on November 2 to provide cover as striker Darren Byfield sustained a knee injury. He never really got going and failed to score a single goal throughout his time at Walsall.

The exit of Dickinson will bring relief to some Saddler supporters as he proved ineffectual to boost the goal tally for the Saddlers, but is also worrying as fellow strikers Jon Macken and Reuben Reid are currently suffering from injuries.
