Walsall Accept Bid For Ferrier With Tranmere, Coventry And Southend Linked

|

Walsall have today confirmed that they have accepted an offer for wantaway striker Morgan Ferrier with Tranmere, Coventry and Southend all linked with the striker.

Like George Dobson, Ferrier expressed a desire to leave the club this summer but last week Darrell Clarke said he was beginning to believe in what the Saddlers were trying to do.

Morgan Ferrier has had a whirlwind first season with the Saddlers.

From having a scuffle with fellow defender Luke Leahy on the pitch to scoring a superb goal against Gillingham in August.

Ferrier played thirty-three times for the Saddlers scoring five goals.

The striker also rejected a move to Southend United in January stating his desire to prove his worth to manager Dean Keates who salvaged him from non-league, however following the exit of Dean Keates and our subsequent relegation to League 2, Ferrier wanted to leave the club.

Ferrier left Boreham Wood last summer to join for the Saddlers following a rift with the club and the manager – roll forward twelve months and he has done the same here.

I would be worried whichever club wishes to sign him next.

It will be interesting to see whether we will finally sign that elusive striker today or tomorrow.
