Tamworth despite there heroic cup exploits lost there conference status last season. Hence the team that faced Tamworth at the Lamb last night was a mixture of youth and experience.

Team was Bossu, Taundry, Roper, Smith, Demontagnac, Nicholls, Bradley, McDermott, Triallist, Deeney, Hall

Of those with first team experience Roper wasn’t really stretched although he appeared a bit off the pace. The same could be said of Bossu who didn’t make me think that he is about to push Clayton for the first team spot.

Ishmel Demontagnac continued his footballing education, as the winger slotted in at full back. He looked more comfortable than he has in some reserve games in this position.

However Mcdermott and Bradley were perhaps the ones who would have impressed the coaches.

In truth Tamworth were full value for the win, however the youngsters have benefited from another good run out and Roper another 90 minutes under his belt, as DD refuses to push the injured guys too quickly into a return.
