On a slow news day from Walsall FC (and Vital website downtime) we rely on the usual Monday newspaper cuttings that probably wont even get any attention from many Walsall fans, but here they are anyways…

Dean Smith expressed his concerns of the winless run that now stretches to 14 games. Speaking to The Express and Star the under fire boss had this to say, ‘It`s a concern we`re not winning games but if you keep doing the right things it`ll come good and the players kept doing the right things’.

He continued “I wouldn`t quite call it digging in because we`ve played some terrific stuff in the last three games and all that`s missing is a win. ‘We have got a weekend off before a local derby and we will look forward to it. We have got good footballers and we have a project.

Its a case of change the record Dean…..

Elsewhere Walsall striker Febian Brandy defended his team mate Ashley Hemmings.

Following Ashley’s error that lead to Hartlepool’s first goal on Saturday, Brandy said “We are all in it together and, if one person makes a mistake, we all make a mistake.”

Following our cup exit, we now have two weeks before we here more Monday drivel from Walsall FC.
