The news wires are getting hotter ahead of tomorrows deadline day.

The club have confirmed that young Walsall striker Alex Nicholls has extended his loan at Burton Albion until the end of the season, and will be available for the play off’s should Burton make it. As is standard in these cases Walsall have a 24 hour recall facility.

Whilst this is happening, teletext and others report that manager Richard Money is considering whether to finalise a move for another striker before tomorrows deadline. Current striker Par Cederqvist put in an impressive two goal display in last night’s reserve game, but has that come to late.

No names are been banded about although one mentioned to me is James Quinn who is on the transfer list at Northampton. James has fallen down the pecking order at the Cobblers but looks likely to be included in the Northern Ireland set up this weekend. Of course the Lee Mathews rumour also refuses to go away.
