Walsall linked with Wolves defender

Keith Lowe is apparently on the Radar of Jimmy Mullen as another possible signing according to the Walsall advertiser. Although the paper says the stumbling block could be wages. The player is said to want to stay local to his West Midland home.

Keith Lowe has a lot of league one experience and in that respect wouldn’t be a gamble. He played 24 games for Port Vale last term scoring goals not bad for a defender who can play either full back or centre half. Previously he has had two spells on loan at Cheltenham the season before playing 14 games scoring once. He has also turned out for Swansea, QPR and Burnley, although his Wolves career has been limited to 14 appearances.

At 22 years of age and 6 foot 2 inches he certainly fits the bill, the real question is would he come to Walsall as a squad player. Also if he would how much would Walsall be able to pay him as a squad player.

Of course for those conspiracy theorist out there…..is this a replacement for Anthony Gerrard who some have rumoured is heading for the exit door in a cash plus striker deal?
