Walsall travel to Stevenage hoping to build momentum and make it four unbeaten.

The opposition however, are already looking very different than the one that has struggled in the league, with several additions already in January.

To see what is going on at the club, Reece Donnelly gives us his insight.

It has been a busy season on and off the pitch. How has it been as a supporter in this time?

Hectic and tiring is the best way to put it! So much going on it’s hard to know what to think especially when you started with so much hope. But we deserve to be where we are with the performances we’ve had and it’s like a long carousel at the minute. Some may be hopeful but I find it a hard push I must be honest

Who have been your standout performers?

That’s a tougher question than you imagine. Elliot List has been great in spells but will be missing for this game. I’m a big fan of Jake Reeves also but he’s goal contributions this season tell their own story. But if you had to pick performers you’d have to say those two.

A lot of new signings so far this month, are they all needed, and who are you most excited about?

All the signings were needed you feel for the sake of a refresh and in some important positions for where they was needed but I’d be lying if I said the average of the side is now not a slight concern. Micheal Bostwick returning is a great moment for the club. Think we’ve been trying to replace him since he’s been gone and never quite succeeded but someone of his experience and ability is somewhat of a coup despite his age. Christy Pym is also a huge coup given what he’s achieved his last couple of years and in a position we’ve struggled in so far this year

Is relegation a realistic prospect?

Massively. We’ve under performed with a very decent squad for half the season why can’t we do it for the next half. Ultimately the table doesn’t lie and we haven’t performed. Our last away victory was the first away game of the season. Tisdale is yet to win a game in charge and the feeling around the club despite somewhat decent performances is very grey.

What are the hopes for the second half of the season?

Winning some games would be nice. Safety is the obvious one which is so frustrating to say as I thought we’d have a season off the relegation pack this year. Tisdale needs to win and win fast.

Predictions for the game?

Walsall are a well coached organised side and if Tisdale is the man (I don’t think he is) Walsall and Matt are a lot further up their development timeline than we are and just can’t see this game going our way. 1-0 Walsall
