Walsall have today signed highly rated Manchester United goalkeeper Sam Johnstone on loan until the end of the season. Sam Johnstone becomes Walsall’s 5th goalkeeper this season.
Sam has played for England Under 16’s, 17’s and 18’s and has become a huge part of United’s youth team.
Johnstone joined Manchester United at academy level, in the 2010-11 season, he was number one keeper in the academy and later won the Under 17’s European Championships with England in 2010 and was chosen ahead of Jack Butland as England Number 1.
He has had experience on loan at Oldham and Scunthorpe recently.
Sam, who is 19 will make his Walsall debut against Hartlepool on Saturday.
