With promotion gained and the chances of winning the title dented if not completly destroyed with the non performance against Bury. Saturdays game against Wrexham could almost be a none event, except for the need for 3points by Wrexham to stave off relegation. They have infact given themselves a great chance by wining there last for games and have started to keep clean sheets at the back too.
For the glass is half full saddlers fan…don’t forget if Hartlepool lose at Rochdale and we win we would be top going into the last game.

Vital Quotes:

DD is expecting a big game whilst Chris Westwood is also stating that the boys still want the title…despite it not looking that way on saturday.
‘It is a huge game against Walsall,’ said Wrexham manager Brian Carey, whose side are chasing a fourth straight win and clean sheet.

‘We have got an opportunity to wrap it up and we are going to give it our best shot.’

Walsall Team News:

Things are pretty much same as, with Dann and Roper out, and mystery surounding the central defender Alan Picken.
DD has the option of playing the same again or bringing in some of the youngsters. Having previously stated about been fair to all the teams fighting the drop, DD will pick a team to win, and he of course still wants the title.

Player to watch: Kevin Cooper

A player with a big reputation and undoubted skill, has been subbed at half time in the last two games,if he plays he needs to perform.

Wrexham Team News:

Wrexham have no new suspension or injury worries and could name an unchanged XI, club captain Neil Roberts continuing to lead the line.

The Dragons have a chance to secure league safety, depending on other ties.

‘It is a huge game against Walsall,’ said Wrexham manager Brian Carey, whose side are chasing a fourth straight win and clean sheet.

‘We have got an opportunity to wrap it up and we are going to give it our best shot.’

Player to watch: Lee McEvilly

The Evil as some fans have nicked named him is a big old fashioned centre forward. The Big No 9 will give our defense a hard time especially if we go with a Gerrard, Fox central combination.

Match Facts & Stats

Three wins on the bounce for Wrexham means a win and other results going for them would mean saftey. However defeat could mean a nerve jangling last day encounter at home to Boston.
Stats mean nothing in these types of games as we found out on saturday.

Ref Watch:

Mr C Penton, last reffed Walsall away at Plymouth earlier this season he gave out four cards as Walsall won 0-1. Last season he sent off Demontagnac as we drew 1-1 at Forest.
So far this season he has issued 101 yellow cards and 4 reds in his 27 games.

Match Prediction:

I would actually put Wrexham favorites for this one. As for Walsall it all depends which Saddlers team shows up.

Next Fixtures:

Away day party on the last day at Swindon.
