Walsall Supporters Trust have this afternoon issued the following statement following the clubs decision to cancel the end of season awards dinner on Sunday 1st May and the presentation is ONLY to club pass holders.
On their official site the Trust said
“Following the cancellation of the Awards Evening on Sunday evening, the Board of the Supporters Trust believe the club have created a PR mistake with the presentations on the 7th being spread across two suites”
“Our view is that the Player of the season/Young player of the season trophies, should be presented on the pitch before the game”
“The awards are voted by all of our supporters, the other awards could be presented in the Savoy Lounge after the game as planned”
“We would seriously ask the club to reconsider their arrangements”
