James Constable made a hero’s return last night having a guard of honour on to the pitch for the game against old club Chippenham. Beano’s return didn’t see him hit the back of the net, well it did actually but the linesmans flag spoilt the fun.

A Walsall team which included a mixture of youth and experience ran out 2-0 winners with goals from Tony Bedeau and Ishmel Demontagnac. Other players who featured was Darren Wrack, Chris Westwood both who used the run out to help recover from injury, as well as Scott Dann and evergreen Mark Kinsella.

However the night belonged to James Constable who had a warm reception from the 268 fans who braved Halloween to see the game.
