Walsall v Huddersfield: Match Preview

This weekend brings Walsall’s final home game this season, and the crucial visit of Huddersfield Town.

A win for The Saddlers will see us safe in League One, but failure to win will see us head for a nerve wracking trip to MK Dons for a nail biting final game of the season.

Centre back Manny Smith will be missing from the starting lineup after his harsh sending off at Exeter last weekend, leaving Olly Lancashire the opportunity to start.

Lee Beevers will also be testing for a start once again, after serving his one match ban earned against Tranmere, ready to push Richard Taundry for a place.

Youngster George Bowerman and Adam Chambers are both unlikely to feature, as both continue to struggle with recent injuries.

Huddersfield will still be without striker Alan Lee through injury so Lee Novak will be expected to partner the dangerous Jordan Rhodes.

Defender Gary Naysmith remains out with a knee injury, whilst Oscar Gobern, Damien Johnson and Alex Smithies are all in line for a return from injury.
