I am disappointed to see that Walsall’s best player is leaving, and I am not talking about Chris Westwood. Dean Keates has been inspirational in the centre of midfield at times this season and he has scored the most important goals, including the cracker at Swindon to win us the title. I cannot believe it, like most Walsall fans, that he is leaving to play in League Two again. He has said he became disillusioned with the club in the last couple of months for not offering him a contract at Christmas. I have to agree, why did we not? I think DD was planning to let both of them go anyway, regardless of Peterborough poking their noses in. It is a really sad to see him go, but that’s football I suppose.

Now for a quick word on the Premiership: West Ham should have gone down. I cannot understand the whole Tevez situation, so let us hope FIFA can (although I am not sure). Tevez has played a big part in keeping the Hammers in the big league, but if he was not registered to the club properly, then Sheffield United are an example of injustice. Sort it out somebody!
