WBA Defender Returns To Walsall On Loan For A Third Time

|

Walsall have today confirmed the loan signing of West Bromwich Albion defender Jack Fitzwater for the third time, until the end of the season.

Fitzwater joined WBA as a youth team member in 2015 but has failed to register a first team appearance for the Baggies however he captained the Baggies’ Premier League 2 side in 2016/17 and appeared in all three of their Checkatrade Trophy matches that season.

He has spent time on loan at Chesterfield, Hednesford and Forest Green before joining the Saddlers on loan in January 2018. He made sixteen appearances for the Saddlers scoring three goals helping us stay in League 1 for another year.

His performances gained praise from WBA but they allowed him to return to the Saddlers in August this time on a season long loan deal.

Just before our FA Cup game with Bolton it was agreed that Fitzwater would return to WBA to feature in their FA Cup tie against Wigan however he was an unused substitute. It was understood Baggies boss Darren Moore saw him as a first team prospect and held onto Fitz throughout January however the Saddlers have persuaded the Baggies to allow him to return.

Fitzwater becomes Dean Keates EIGHTH signing this window following the arrivals of Cameron Norman, Dan Scarr, Scott Laird, Omar Mussa, Matt Jarvis, Corey Blackett-Taylor and Aramide Oteh.

Welcome back Jack.
