Walsall boss Jon Whitey has today confirmed hes hoping to add another two players to his side before we kick off our League 1 2016/17 campaign against AFC Wimbledon on 6th August.
Whitney has already brought in nine players (Milan Butterfield, Theo Vassell, Jason McCarthy, Joe Edwards, Flo Cuvelier, George Dobson, Erhun Oztumer, Franck Moussa and Simeon Jackson) but feels he needs more cover in the squad.
Speaking to Express and Star, Whitney said
‘I think there will be a couple more. I haven`t finished yet. The chairman might think I have but I`m still pushing.
“There are a few little pieces of the jigsaw I need but I have got the main nucleus which is really pleasing considering the lads that have left.
“We are a good unit and we won`t fail through a lack of effort. We will push it every game because we have got good, honest lads.”
