Saddlers across Social media networks have rumoured we are close to signing former Man Utd striker, John Cofie.
Cofie signed for Manchester United from Burnley in 2007 at the age of 15 however he didn’t get a chance to shine at Man Utd and was sent on loan to Royal Antwerp, Sheff Utd and Notts County before joining Barnsley on a free in 2013.
His Barnsley career was blighted by injury and he is certainly the type of player we go for and I have no doubt that Dean Smith will get the best out of him, like he has with so many of our precious young jewels.
Cofie was born in Ghana but has represented England at Under 17 level.
