Arsenal defender Krystian Bielik has admitted he wants a return to Birmingham City next season despite currently being on loan at Walsall.

Bielik suffered a shoulder injury which has interrupted his progress and his chance to move to a Championship club on loan but is happy to have joined Walsall on loan in a league which is very competitive and not much dissimilar from the Championship.

Bielik said

‘The next day [after the injury] I learned that I am leaving for a loan, I could choose between two major clubs from the Championship – Norwich or Nottingham. Well, I could not, because it turned out that the shoulder had to be operated.

‘I got to League One and I’m glad that we managed to find a club in the senior football program by the end of the season. People think what they want. This league is as hard as the Championship’

‘I want to play in the Championship. I’d love to go back to Birmingham. I would feel best there. I would not need acclimatisation. I know the club, players, coaching staff.’

Bielik is yet to feature for the Saddlers but will be a very astute signing going into our remaining games as we look to stay in League 1.

When Bielik returns to action who will he replace – Fizzy water or Guthrie? Head over to our Twitter pages and Facebook pages and let us know where you think he will fit in.
