Saturday’s meeting with Fleetwood Town in the FA Cup first round has created more woes for Hutchings, as he desperately sees if the loanee’s parent clubs will allow them to play.

Liam Dickinson has been ruled out of the second game of his month’s loan as Barnsley do not want him to be cup tied, with a further question over fellow Tyke Martin Devaney.

However, Ryan McGivern has been given permission by Manchester City to play and Reuben Reid has also been given clearance by West Bromich Albion.

Reid has been speaking to the official site of the clash, saying that they need to keep their guard up against their non league opposition.

He said: ‘They will be well up for it as they will see it as a good chance to get in the spotlight, but we will be up for the challenge and determined to get our name in the draw for the second round….I can’t wait to get out there and play my part in helping us achieve a winning result.’

Reuben Reid has started on the bench in the last two games, but is a possibility to start given Dickinson’s absence. Hopefully Devaney can get clearance as he has been a real boost for the Saddlers since his arrival. However, unless Hutchings can extend his stay, this will potentially be the last game he will play for Walsall.
